Program Management Assessing Parenting Help Center

What are programs and why do I need one?

Programs organize inventories, track the effectiveness of interventions, and provide specific data to satisfy the requirements of funding sources. Your agency can have one or more programs. All inventories must be assigned to a program. Programs are ways to identify the specific interventions running in your agency.

Creating Programs allow data to be stored separately for each intervention or research project being offered by the Agency. There are several advantages in creating individual Programs:

  1. Confidentiality. Only Principal Agents and staff Facilitators will have access to the data.
  2. Accountability. An agency may wish to compare the outcome data of different programs being offered by different staff. Data generated from Research projects can be kept separate for analyses.
  3. Decision Making. A comparative analysis of the outcome data allows agency personnel to review the effectiveness of different interventions.
  4. Funding. Collecting data by Programs will be useful for report writing and for submitting grant applications.
